Pattern: Oolong Socks by Mona Schmidt

Yarn: Araucania Ranco Solid in 126 Cactus

Needles: US1.5/2.5mm

I followed the pattern pretty much as written, except for eliminating one pattern repeat on the foot, and I made the heel a smidgen longer. I wish I had added a extra pattern repeat to the leg, because they are a tad shorter than I would like. I enjoyed knitting this pattern, but the end result is just so-so for me. I’m not sure about the transition from the leg patterning to the foot.

Life’s been throwing me stuff at me lately (most recently in the form of a broken tooth requiring an (eep!) root canal) , hence the blog silence. I have a vacation coming up in a couple weeks and I’m looking forward to recharging my batteries. I have several FO posts I need to catch up on, besides just wanting to get on a more regular blogging schedule. Here’s to an almost mid-year resolution! I hope I have an easier time sticking to this type than the New Year variety…
